EDUCATION

Required: Associate degree in sales/marketing, business, or related field. Or, a minimum of six months successful related experience.
Preferred: A bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing, business, or related field. Or, a minimum of one years’ experience in a similar or related service.

LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

Required: Current Wisconsin Driver’s License
Preferred: None

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of six months experience as a Sales Representative of an equivalent operation with a minimum of $3 million in annual sales.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Outgoing individual comfortable conversing with new people and being in unfamiliar situations.
Commitment to excellent customer service.
Complete understanding of products/services and pricing models.
Able to develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, direct mail, email, and networking.
Able to build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
Able to comprehend and perform business math calculations necessary to accurately write quotes and determine gross profit margins.
Responsible for the effective supervision of team members, ensuring optimal performance.

Able to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Able to maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.

PHYSICAL

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

BODY POSITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time. He/she may also be required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time while completing other duties and responsibilities.
BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including the use of his/her hands to finger, handle, and feel objects such as computer equipment. The ability to bend the body, to reach for objects, and to crouch when needed are also required.
BODY SENSES: The employee must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be working primarily indoors in a smoke free office environment.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be higher.

7. RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the Sales Manager include, but are not necessarily limited to:

Achieve or exceed individual sales quotas each month.
Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the company’s products and services.
Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
Makes telephone calls and presents company’s products and services to existing and prospective clients.
Following up and converting leads to new accounts.
Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers’ profitability profiles.
Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns.
Provide accurate information regarding availability of services.
Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
Setup and maintain customer files.
Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction.
Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team.
Communicate to the Owner unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products and services.
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
Provide management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, and competitive activities.
Provide Owner with oral and written reports on sales and prospecting.
Maintain proficiency in using personal computer and other common office equipment and software.
Follow company policies and procedures
Present a professional image to customers at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their inquiries
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are sufficient
- Assist in training new sales team members
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities

Experience:
- Previous experience in a sales or retail environment is preferred
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and manage inventory effectively
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating discounts
